Metaphor: ReFantazio heads to Switch 2 on November 12
Atlus's 2024 Game of the Year is coming to Nintendo's console, and Sega says it will launch at a new, lower price point than the game's other platform versions.
Atlus confirmed during a June Nintendo Direct that Metaphor: ReFantazio is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on November 12, 2026 — just over two years after the fantasy RPG first launched on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PC in October 2024.
The game swept the RPG categories at The Game Awards 2024, winning Best RPG, Best Narrative and Best Art Direction, and closed out that year as RPG Site's Game of the Year with a Metacritic average in the low 90s.

Sega's Japanese press materials confirm a physical Standard Edition and a digital-only 35th Anniversary Edition for the Switch 2 launch, alongside a limited Steelbook edition, with the publisher explicitly pitching the port at "a new price" below the game's cost on other platforms. Pre-ordering the digital version before November 11 also unlocks in-game bonus items.
No technical details about the Switch 2 port's resolution or frame rate targets have been shared yet. The base game is currently available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PC via Steam.
